The Quiet Lads

Biography

The Quiet Lads are the sound of a suburb that never quite sleeps. Formed in the shadow of a ring road somewhere between Manchester and nowhere, they emerged from late-night lock-ups, off-licence queues, and the kind of car parks where sodium lamps feel like false gods. Five mates who grew up on the same estate, same takeaways, same grey skies — but different scars. They don’t shout about revolution; they just play it through jangly guitars that cut like broken bottles, cyclical basslines that loop like the same Friday night argument, and baggy drums that shuffle forward even when the comedown’s trying to drag them back.
